mirtela's cookie policy is short by design: we run a self-hosted analytics tool (Rybbit) that doesn't use cookies, and we don't run any advertising or third-party tracking. This site sets no cookies at all today. If that changes when we add commerce features, this page is updated first.

Why we don't need a consent banner

The applicable data protection authority guidance (Article 82 of the Loi Informatique et Libertés) requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary. mirtela sets none today.

Our analytics (Rybbit, self-hosted) uses an in-memory device fingerprint that's hashed and aggregated server-side. It doesn't set a cookie. It doesn't follow you across sites. It doesn't share data with anyone. The data protection authority's 2020 guidance on "respectful analytics" exempts such measurement from consent.

Third-party cookies

We don't embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party tracker. We don't sell impressions or behaviour to advertisers.
